test Emacs blog post
This is a blog post that is testing Emacs' ability to compose blog posts in org mode and export them as markdown files. It's also serving as a project log of my attempts to simplify the software in my life. I'm using Emacs, org-mode, ox-hugo, and exporting to a git repository on my netbook that gets pushed to my forgejo instance and pushed to my blog.
Why Emacs? {#why-emacs}
I've dabbled in Emacs for a good long while now, but it's only started taking off with me when I got my Boox, surprisingly. I discovered that termux ran pretty well on it, and after setting up my phone it was pretty easy to transfer the files over.
Then when I unearthed my netbook, it was already installed on the operating system that I put on it (Damn Small Linux 2024) so I just picked it up on an actual linux computer now too.
